Rachael Riihimaki

Born and raised in Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Rachael moved to Alberta with her Shih Tzu Leia in 2022. Rachael and Leia have since expanded their family to include her girlfriend Lianna, and two cats – Ahsoka and Ben.

Rachael completed the Veterinary Assistant Program at the Maritime Business College in 2020 and has been working in the veterinary field since. She grew up around animals and throughout her life has had everything from fish and pocket pets to cats, dogs and various reptiles.

Rachael loves weekend adventures, going for drives and hiking. She also enjoys reading, baking, playing the violin and her favourite animal is the fox. Rachael also likes taking trips home to see her mom when she can.

For Rachael, she treats her pets like her babies – and she treats all her patients the same way!
